More Than Personal Communication

In this project report, I introduce the citation templates for Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers that created in partnership with staff of NorQuest Student Centre. These have been adopted/linked to by twenty-five institutions across Canada United States. They represent an attempt formalize something scholars doing decades: fighting find a better way acknowledge our voices knowledges within academia. outline how was developed, highlighting importance stable, respectful relationships, before delving into some literature personal experiences provided reasoning why more culturally responsive is needed. Part background acknowledging my own as scholar, but also draw on from both non-Indigenous illustrate interdisciplinary need these templates. provide in-depth explanations each element new explain behind and/or element.
